Ultralingua Spanish-English App Reviews

Wow!

I gave it five stars before its recent change. Id give it six stars now, if I could. Its fabulous!

Great App

This app is well organized and inclusive.

I use this dictionary all over Mexico & Central America

This app is perfect for basic travel, but also after you become reasonably fluent. I read 50% of all conversation consists of 150 words. But, normal conversation can go anywhere and you could find yourself stuck trying to come up with any of the thousands of uncommon words. Ultralingua is perfect for that and I have it on my iPod so it is always with me. I rarely by apps and even though this app is a little more expensive it is worth every penny to me. I rarely write reviews, but this app deserves 10 stars.

Great App

Im using this app to study phonetics and its easy to navigate and user friendly. Awesome!

Great new update

The new update looks great in iOS 7. This is certainly the best translation app available for any platform. If you are a Spanish student, this is definitely worth the investment!

What did you do?

We got this app over all others because we didnt have to be online to use it. Now it appears we have to be online. So much for a good app.

Great Spanish dictionary but....

Now with the latest update the app crashes immediately upon starting. Please fix!!!

New version crashes even before it opens!

This is (was) the greatest app ever for Spanish dictionary. But with this new version you can teen open it! Please fix this bug which does not allow the program to even open!!

Great app

I have had this app for years now and this update has been great. Very extensive library that you can take with you without an internet connection and the update improved the interface. I would recommend this for anyone!

I loved this app

This was my lifeline in Spain and now it wont open why??

Great Dictionary

Im a teacher in a school system where more than half of the students speak Spanish, and my grandson attends a dual immersion preschool. I chose carefully among the various Spanish-English, English-Spanish dictionaries. After a misstep with a very inexpensive and very poorly done dictionary, I settled on Ultralingua. Im very pleased with it. I use it several times a day. The conjugations are very helpful, and it has all of the words I look up. I think you will find it to be a very good choice too.

Expensive Dictionary

I think that they should add sentences for the words cause this dictionary just has words its to expensive for only the definition. I suggest that they fix it.

Great app, but you need others too

Much better than most Sp/Eng dictionaries in the App Store, I use it a lot, but it doesnt have everything. Get SpanishDict also for the pronunciations.

Not sure if it was worth it....

I bought this app for twenty dollars, which is expensive if the app is not worth it. Since I bought it, it has not been updated and I would like new features, like maybe you could say the word and it looks it up. Also there are a lot of slang words missing that I wish was there and also some expressions with multiple words in English that are not there or are hard to find if it isnt typed the exact same way. Overall it is useful but not as useful as j would wish and sometimes I have to go to google translate for a lot of information.

I got charged for reloading apps

Im out $40!! I had the Spanish-English and French-English dictionaries installed on my iPhone and iPads for a few years and used them often. And as you said, it stopped working after a recent update. So I deleted it (they were both in the same app) and went back in to reinstall both. It didnt say anything about getting them free because I had previously bought both, nor did it ask the confirmation question “Do you mean to buy this dictionary?” So since it didnt ask the confirmation to buy question, I figured it was reinstalling free. Nope. Just got the receipt for both. I WANT MY $40 REFUND, please.

Well worth it

I got this Freshman year for my spanish class, and now in junior year, in my 3rd year of spanish Im still using it. Whats really nice is just having all the conjugations on hand for every verb, especially when Im learning knew tenses. Sentence examples would be nice to help put words into context, but to me the app was well worth the $20. Spanish homework and papers made easier.

Hasnt been updated in over a year

Great dictionary but needs to keep up with technology changes.

Fantastic App

I would never have paid so much for an app, but my Spanish grammar teacher recommended it. Besides its breadth of corpus linguae, you dont need an Internet connection to use it. This app is definitely worth every penny!

Great translation app

Love this app! Its very useful when it comes to needing translations. Its particularly useful when looking up colloquial terms, which makes it incredibly valuable when reading books in Spanish.

Top Notch!

Perfect! Waiting for Portuguese!
